Tasting Notes
We tasted this wine in November 2020 and it is amazing. There is barely any aging noticeable, it is in its prime. The color is deep garnet with wonderful aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and black plum, with hints of cedar and tar. The tannins have integrated nicely giving the wine a smooth mouthfeel with loads of black fruit on the palate. Drink now

Wine Enthusiast notes - 90 rating - Dark, dry and tannic, this is one of the best Petit Verdots out there. It's full bodied and powerful in pure, concentrated blackberries and black currants, with a touch of violets and cedar. Now–2013.
Vineyard Notes
The Tephra Ridge Vineyard produces exceptionally high quality fruit as a result of its high elevation and well drained Tufa soils (volcanic ash). The steeper terrain of Tephra Ridge Vineyard provides for robust air movement limiting frost pressure and improved air circulation to control humidity.
